More about us: MWV is a coalition of non-profit women’s organizations working statewide to educate and mobilize low-income women and their allies to participate in the democratic process. MWV works to show the connections between issues of economic justice, reproductive rights, environmental health, violence against women, human rights, and empowering women in advocating for public policies that support women and families. Member organizations include the Montana Human Rights Network, Blue Mountain Clinic, Planned Parenthood, MT Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, Pro-Choice/NARAL, WORD (Women’s Opportunity and Resource Development (WORD), and the YWCA of Missoula.

MWV’s goal is to activate and encourage Montanans to participate in the political system. We target our outreach towards low-income Montanan women and help show how policies passed by elected officials directly impact their lives. This is an opportunity to learn how to organize outreach/educational efforts, develop effective communication strategies and work with a diverse coalition dedicated to social change.
