Organization Mission Statements

WEEL is a grassroots, economic and social justice non-profit organization We are made up of people experiencing poverty and our supporters. Through advocacy, action, and education we work together to eradicate the myths, stereotypes, and stigmas that are harmful to low-income families. WEEL is dedicated to putting people experiencing poverty first. We encourage leadership and provide opportunities to use our collective voice to effect compassionate social change!

WORD is a feminist organization. We envision a world where women actively participate in the decisions that affect our lives - societal, economic, political and environmental. WORD is committed to the empowerment of women through education, community outreach, the changing of public policy, and the development of affordable housing. This commitment is reflected in the organization's structure. Changing needs and issues shape WORD's programming.

WVE is an environmental justice
organization. Our mission is to empower women, who historically have had little power in affecting environmental policy, to create an
ecologically sustainable and socially just society.

YWCA of Missoula's mission is to empower women and girls; to attain a common vision of Peace, Justice, Freedom and Dignity for all people, to assist women in learning to make their own choices, to enhance self-sufficiency; and to eliminate racism and sexism.
