wpli-socialThe Women’s Policy Leadership Institute is a two-day hands-on conference about issues that impact women and families in Montana. It is an opportunity for women of all backgrounds and levels of experience to network, discuss policy issues, and build their skills. WPLI is an opportunity to talk directly with elected officials and even learn about running for office yourself.

The Women’s Policy Leadership Institute is fun, diverse, and open to everyone! Scholarships are available for lodging and registration, and we provide carpool help and childcare in an effort to make sure that everyone who wants to come to WPLI can join us. Accessible accommodations are available!

The 2017 conference will be February 10th and 11th in Helena at the Great Northern Hotel.
We’ll have amazing breakout sessions covering everything from “The Criminalization of Poverty in Montana” to “Immigrant Justice in Montana,” in addition to plenary sessions like “MWV’s 2017 Legislative Outlook”, “What’s at Stake for Indian Country in 2017”, and “Stop Freaking Out, Start Organizing.”

Additionally, join us for a hands-on workshop on how to lobby at the 2017 Legislative Session, with the opportunity to use the skills learned to influence your local delegation on issues important to women in Montana. Lunch with women delegates from across the state will be provided after we conclude. The Lobby Day will occur prior to the formal start of the Institute, from 10am-1pm on Friday, February 10th inside the Capitol.

We are so excited and energized by the overwhelming level of interest in WPLI this year! As of February 7th at 3:30 pm, we are at max capacity with 180 registrants.

See you on the 10th in Helena!!
