While increasing voter turnout is an important goal, Montana Women Vote (MWV) is also committed to advancing policy that improves the lives of women and families in our state. MWV works year-round on advocacy and public policy issues.

Montana Women Vote wants you to know what is going on and to help make your voice be heard!

• Celebrate and Advocate! Join MWV at the capitol for an educational and eventful day in honor of International Women Day!
• Sign up for our Email Action Updates  We send out monthly action updates during the year and weekly updates during the session to keep you in the loop on important bills and actions you can take on issues such as heath care, reproductive rights, violence against women, environmental health, etc.
• Download MWV's 2009 Legislative Agenda to see what bills the Montana Women Vote caolition will be working on this upcoming session.
• See what the Montana Women Vote coalition worked on during the 2007 Legislative Session and our analysis of the session outcome by downloading our 2007 Legislative Summary.
• Join us for our Annual Women's Policy Leadership Institute (WPLI) and learn about making making policy change from great Montana Women Leaders. Event is planned for Jan. 23 and 24th in Helena. Check back for more information and online reigstration to be posted by Nov. 14th.

During the biennial state legislative session MWV's goal is to empower citizens to become advocates for positive policy changes by:

• Hosting educational and action-oriented events at the capitol;
• Sending weekly email action updates to our constituents;
• Hosting legislative updates in the communities in which we work;
• Providing training to help constituents effectively lobby their legislators;
• Providing training and support to citizens wanting to testify;
• Connecting constituents with member  organizations and allies who are organizing actions around particular bills; and
• Facilitating ride-sharing to Helena.
