WELCOME!

Montana Women Vote is committed to increasing the role of women's participation in all aspects of our democracy - through increasing voter turnout, providing information about candidates' stands on issues important to women and their families, and helping women become advocates for changes in public policy.

News & Events:

Montana Women Vote is working to register thousands of women statewide this year to build on our existing constituent base of over 10,000 educated and engaged voters. What to be part of voter outreach efforts in your community? Click here to find out how to get involved.

Did you know that only about 30% of low-income women are registered to vote?

When low-income women don't vote, not only are they left out of the democratic process as individuals, but the issues critical to their lives are not represented in public policy decisions.

The goal of Montana Women Vote:

Montana Women Vote is a coalition of non-profit women's organizations working statewide to educate and mobilize low-income women and their allies to participate in the democratic process. Member organizations address issues of economic justice, domestic violence and sexual assault, environmental health, reproductive rights and human rights.

The nine statewide partners are the MT Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, MT Human Rights Network, NARAL ProChoice MT, Planned Parenthood of MT, Women's Opportunity and Resource Development Inc. (WORD), Women's Voices for the Earth, Working for Equality and Economic Liberation (WEEL), homeWORD and the YWCAs of Montana.  Montana Women Vote's three community member organizations include Blue Mountain Clinic of Missoula, Opportunity Inc. of Great Falls, and Bridger Clinic of Bozeman.

In conjunction with increasing voter turnout, MWV is also committed to educating on the connections between issues and how issues impact women's daily lives.  MWV has worked year-round on multi-issue advocacy and public policy since its formation in 2000.
